I reckon I am, it's pointless, since I got mine in April I have religiously cleaned it at least twice a week. Now winter is on it's way I reckon it's futile, I might just leave it until spring.

A dirty car is a cool car, isn't it?

I was thinking of posting the same thread.

Yes, i've given up. The gritters are due to start making a mess of the roads. I'm focusing my attention on making the interior a pleasant place to be.

I only picked my car up 2 weeks ago and I've still not cleaned it yet, I really need to try before it gets bad, was planning on Sunday but it's meant to rain frown

Of course it is. The dirt protects it from the elements. Just leave a tiny slot in the windscreen to peer through though.

No. It'll get done less frequently but it'll still get washed when there's a weekend without rain.

No

That would need me to start cleaning it first

Used to think like that and learnt the hard way-

I'll get a local valeter to clean it. Even if it's just to get all the muck and the salt off.

This time of year I will clean my car maybe once every 2-3 weeks, but will clean the screen and lights off inbetween if needed.

I've allowed mine to get pretty mucky. Even the school run turns it from shiny car to well used mud monster. Usually I'm a complete cleaning geek.

Rural Cornwall does not mix with clean cars in Winter.

That is all!

As far as I can remember, I've cleaned my car 3 times in the six years I've had it. smile

Probably. The winter steelies will be on this weekend, so chances are I won't bother washing it more than once or twice until the end of March.

Going to need to at least jet wash the arches and underside to prevent the rot getting worse on my snotter else there will be nothing left to MOT in spring! hehe

I've given up. My arches get filled with mud and sheep st (living 'up a track', the PH dream) which I jet wash out every Saturday morning. Apart from that there's just no point, it'll get ruined.

Clean the windscreen almost twice weekly though, the Rain-X glass cleaner with the added water repellent gets a thumbs up from me.

I haven't washed a car in years. Occasionally the garage does it when it's in for a service, but that's it. Life's too short.

I mostly drive a white DS4 DSport on a 2 year lease which is going back in March.

Haven't washed it yet and have no intention doing so until the day before it goes back.byebye

Those end of lease charges are going to cost more than regular washing....

if you run anything older than seven or eight years and intend not having it dissolve round your ears then winter is the most important time for cleaning, even if it's just pressure-washing in under the arches once a week.

No. The weekend cars get washed when they come back from a hoon, and my company car gets handed to the valeter at work, because I'm a powerfully built motor industry manager.
