Washer bottle refurb.

Hi folks,
As the winter weather has finally hit and drives are becoming less regular I've decided to tackle a few garage jobs, the first being my tatty washer bottle.
I've had a good look around and it seems a bit of a pig to remove, instead I've decided to mask up the area and spray it in situ.
Anyone else done it, what is the process and what paint/primer should I use?
