just going through the usual dull insurance renewal quote time.

Being 26 its usualy an expensive doo.

Decided to try direct line, remembering they wernt on any comparison sites.. wow. About £250 cheaper than other quotes, it does require me to renew my tracker subscription which is due up too but thats only £132 i think.

worth a look for anyone renewing any time soon!

26 and an Aston - well done, that's the way to do it.

Personally I'd avoid DL like the plague. I used them for my v8v and they were such a pain in proving that the car had an approved alarm and tracker, despite Aston Martin directly sending them letters (great customer service from AM I would add).
When I renewed I changed and now I'm with First Point on my v12v they were recommended by jct who I bought the car from and they were cheaper and great customer service.

Admiral have been very competitive in my limited experience. Example; Adding a driver (wife) and BR power upgrade not a problem, just £101 on the premium. wink

Ooh er, Stevo.....what a price !!

I've used First Point and Admiral AND Locktons in the past - all good companies for different reasons.

I must be the only person on here with a Multi Car Policy......and I don't own a single car !!! smile

Half true Cockers (as usual) age is a contributing factor, unless one is 'very old'. Two clean licences and no claims at max allowance helped. The jury still out but Admiral are to date performing rather well,,,we'll see when it comes to renewal. scratchchin

Admiral quoted me rather happy for a DBS, some £200+ cheaper than my previously owned RS4. The dealer I'm buying from recommended a 'specialist' insurance company that quoted double Admiral's figure!

Just a quick reminder. When Purdey was written off she was approaching 2 years old. Within 6 working days I had a brand new Vantage S sitting in my garage! I will stay loyal to Hiscox insurance . So to those of you trying to save a few pounds insuring your P&J please remember will you be treated in such an exemplary way if the worst should happen to your car?

Jockman, Molly and I stayed up late last night to watch Googlebox. I had already completed a little research on this famous Posh Couple. You will be pleased to hear that we are not insulted! Slightly bemused would be a fair response. Most of the other people involved were plainly trash though. What amused me was the way he held his glass of wine. I'm apparently inclined to do the same. Molly watches me, when my glass reaches an angle of about 40 degrees she usually leaps up, declares that I am a wker or a Tosser . All done in the best possible taste of course. wink

It was never intended as an insult, Rob - they are really entertaining !!

They run a hotel (their house, I think) and they were on the show '4 in a Bed' or something like that, whereby other hoteliers compete against them for a prize - they won smile

That was the first time I've EVER seen her get up to fetch her own drink, as he normally has to do it yes

I've been with Direct Line for over 10 years now and been happy. I was surprised with my quote when I bought the Aston. only a £150 more than my 7 series BMW.

When I was shopping for a renewal quote recently, I tried Direct Line, and they were the cheapest by a mile for my 2005 DB9. £210 for 53 year old, garaged, based in surrey. I went for Admiral multicar in the end at £370. The Direct Line cover does not include any legal fees insurance (Admiral £100,000), and the European cover will only insure you for the minimum legal requirement in each country, so mostly third party only. It seemed to me to be too much of a bare bones policy.

I shall repeat "26 and an aston f*king hell" biggrin I like it. If you dont mind me being nosey what is it you do? I always thought you would need specialist insurance for high profile cars like these? Personally I have usually dealt with admiral insurance and they are amazing touch wood,
