Basically what the title says, but specifically with something that has at least the same level of handling and performance, or that seriously out performs a V8 Cerbera in those areas?

Corvette C6 Z06. There is a silver one on PH FOR £26k which is the lowest I've seen one advertised.

Tuneable to 600hp with cam/headers etc, V8 sound, huge torque, very fast. It's all I would replace the Cerb with.

If you want to amuse yourselves when Strictly Notworthwatching is on, go read the Ultima threads. Up to 600 bhp, all the power, no handling. Quicker in a 911.

There was an M5, limiter removed, at an airfield track day last year. Did 186 mph on the main runway

Isnt the v10 one supposed to be good for 200+?

Could well be, but you would need an autobahn to prove it. He hit the runway at about 70 mph and had around a mile to get up to speed and then down to around 80 mph for the corner at the end, as well as normal mortals on track to contend with.

I believe you have no idea what you're talking about.

It was something I read on the Ultima section. I was surprised, so remembered it. Now having trouble finding it, so you could be right. I have never driven one, merely sat on the rear wheel of one under construction and though "wow"!

Thinking about your request - a car in the spirit of a tvr cerbera, with better handling, I think the closest thing would be one of the new lotus v6 exige or elise models.

Faster in a straight line. With amazing handling. I accept no rear seats though...

Evora is slower, my boss has just bought one. Still got the sill you mountaineer over like the Elise. Nice looking car though.

^^^^^ What he said, I saw one last weekend, 1,000bhp for about £50k, beat that!

By the way £30k will get you 450bhp

I went from a very special 4.5 to an f430 which is in a totally different league..... But the thread says "more exciting".... Exciting was without a doubt one thing the cerbera certainly was' in both a good and bad way!

Only two cars spring to kind for me , Macca F1 or an F40, so long as could keep the Cerb.
