Not much better than a Stratos replica, though I'm hugely biased & one needs to know more than just one end of a spanner to another to be able to build one.

There's a couple that I can think of -
Murtaya - think this is available in hard top - there's a long thread on here dedicated to this car. 4wd if you want it, scooby based.
Hawk 289 hard top - not quite a cobra, realty a BRA 289 replica, IMO look sbetter than the Cobra 437 body
GKD Evolution - was the Ginetta G33/27 (can't remeber which) but they do a hard top for this - BMW based so six cylinder as standard - M3 anyone ?
MEVX5 - basically a re-bodied MX5, sure you can squeeze a six in there.
Autotune Rishton Aristocrat - a Jag 140 coupe replica.
GKD would be first on my list as it is sensible priced, good quality and good heritage.

ACL now own the Royale Sabre - 1950's look (similar to XK140) and available with hard top.
The new (still in design) Bertini GT25 which is Z3 based (2.8 six available) and I guess the hard top may fit (long thread on here about this car)
Probably be worth letting us know what type of 6 cyclinder (v6 / straight / make) and also what style you like - modern, replica (not cobra/ferrari obviously), unique, retro etc.
If mid engine rear drive is acceptable then the list will grow quite a bit.

Hey, Ugg, the Hawk 289 is a replica of the 289 Cobra, as was the BRA 289. I agree they look better than the 427s!
Hawk have also produced a copy of the AC Ace (not sure if they still do) that was the car from which the Cobra was developed. I think they look nicer still!!

It doesn't sound as if you are Cobra crazy, but it really is worth understanding the differences. Look at some YouTube video! The ace is gorgeous, skinny tyred exquisite drivers car with a straight six. A Cobra 289 was the first Shelby V8, is less of a drivers car but goes rather well with 350bhp plus. The Cobra 427 is a fat arched, wide tyred monster with a huge engine and huge power, and while devastatingly fast, is pretty unpleasant the rest of the time.Hawk have also produced a copy of the AC Ace (not sure if they still do) that was the car from which the Cobra was developed. I've driven a Hawk 289 and it was excellent, but an ace, perhaps with a nice BMW engine and box, on tall skinny wires, would be just sublime, and easier to live with than a C Type Jag rep. Go on-experience the four-wheel-drift!

i have seen the black car that you see on the pages a few times as it has been on display at the Melbourne international motorshow (had it parked next to a Veyron), the Melbourne F1 GP and just last weekend at the RACV motor clasica even in the Royal Exhibition buildings. its been around now for a good 5 years i think.

Why don't you just look out for a TVR 350 in need of a sort out, whip the body off, sort the chassis and build away - all very achievable, with a halfords toolkit and some hard work. All the Rover V8 powered TVRs are fantastic things to build. you will learn loadsStangGT said:

i will have a coupe/fastback version by the end of this year. and the roadster will be launched at the stoneleigh kitcar show in May.
The roadster will be able to be irreversibly converted to the fastback if desired.
The BMW hardtops will fit also.
It will be mostly a bolt-on kit that can fit any Z3. that included the 6 cylinder 2.2, 2.8 3.0 and 3.2M

Get yourself a 3d printer and make your own Aston Martin replica or whatever takes your fancy. Hard work and determination are required by the bucket load.
