In car music question (2009 Cayenne GTS)

Hi,

What are my options for listening to music in my 2009 cayenne? It has the connecter that says iPod on it, but will that connect to an iPad also?

There is a USB port next to that, can I just stick a USB pen loaded with mp3s into that.

Or if I need to burn discs, can I do mp3s to CDs.

I realise these questions will all be in the manual but I don't have it here. I'm sitting Starbucks, about to go shopping in ikea. And realised there is a big electronic store here too so if I know what I need I could pick it up while here and save a trip.

edit - to answer my own question, you can just stick mp3's on a usb pen. £5 for an 8gb usb pen the size of my fingernail, unreal how cheap and small they've got!

Does anyone know if an iPad will work in place of an iPod?
