Inconsiderate jealous parking moron. Glasgow FK51LOS

I was in the West End of Glasgow this am for coffee at Tinderbox driving the Espada. I parked on Byres Road in a large space with about 3 car lengths in front of me to the lights.
When I came out a moron in a Toyota HiLux Reg FK51LOS had parked 1CM yes 1 centimetre from the bonnet of the car!!!! He must have had a reversing camera or someone to help him park so close. There appeared to be no damage to the car although it is difficult to say at one or two points. He couldnt have reversed into a space between two cars as he would have crushed the corner of the car.
Luckily there was space behind me so I could reverse and leave without major manoeuvring.
Why did he do it? Jealous? Just a total d
head? Anyway I will be sending the pics to the police and asking them to charge him with a contravention of section 3 Namely 'Inconsiderate driving.
I will post pics later.
In the unlikely event the person is on here. I hope the police charge you and you are off the road soon!

Paul leaves 3 car lengths of space in front of car.
Hilux driver parks 1 cm away from Paul's car, for no reason as there is 2 car lengths ahead of them that could be used.
Why park so close to a car when the space on the road means its not necessary to do so.
Common courtesy would be to leave suitable gap between cars to allow other drivers the chance to get out without having to get help themselves etc.
Get it now?

the car was parked there for two hours. I don't know what space was behind my car when he parked. When I went out there was space, however have you ever parked 1cm from another car entirely blocking it in? Would ANYONE park that way irrespective? Can anyone help me see the foul here?
I cant quite see how it isn't foul play to park anywhere like that at any time. On your logic, if it is ok when I leave then it frankly doesn't matter how someone behaves before? Sorry that doesn't make sense.

That's seriously bad parking! doesn't look like there's a camera there. I would have sat on his bonnet waiting on him to return to his tank.
Some people are just bitterly jealous because you have something better than them. Don't know what possesses them to do that though! Hopefully he'll Google his registration number.
On a side note, got cut up by a large bmw 4x4 today on a roundabout. Gave a large blast of the horn. The guy took a hissy fit in the high chair that was his car, meanwhile I'm sitting pissing myself laughing at his hysterics.

You are quite right although it is a recommendation and not a law to that effect. As there were single Yellows there, then it was legal to park. Sec 22 of the RTA covers dangerous parking, but I have never heard of it being invoked for parking close to a junction. People park closer there every Sunday.Paul
