Replacement Dash LED's
Discussion
I've been looking at replacing the dash lights.

You can get them from
www.superbrightleds.com
but the postage from the US is more than the LEDs.
Is there a place in the UK that sell them?

Ask for both types, Across maximum of two bins then, off you go I think I've found a supplier in the UK.
But can someone have a look at the interior light between the seats and send me a photo of the bulb in place so I can see the type and if there is 1 or 2 bulbs per light.
I haven't got my car yet, so 2nd question
Are there also interior lights under the dash on the left and right?
If so are they the same type as the rear one.

Light between seats is a festoon as is the one under your right knee when sat in the driver's seat. They're the only interior lights as standard. If you're going to change them for LEDs then you need to reverse the polarity to the holder/diffuser which is easy done but means you can't use the switch to override and switch on with the doors closed. I'm sure you could cut the wires and reroute to make that work again but I couldn't be bothered. Edit - actually they might not be festoons, that could be another car I changed! Mine is still at Bespoke so I can't check quickly, sorry.

What current are you driving the leds at so they get hot enough to melt the housing?
A bunch of lumiled super flux at 70mah generates very little heat, im running some as my number plate bulb, always on, and it's running cooler than the filament bulb?
Sorry but driving those Philips LEDs that hard without proper control will create heat and shorten the life of the LEDs, the junction temperatures will be through the roof, they are getting hotter than you think.
