mad fiber going bust

Saw this and was quite surprised. although there are a few "cheap" sets on ebay at the minute if you are a campag user, presuming surplus stock

Quite surprised? £2600 for a wheelset I'm not surprised at all lol.

Tough market to be in, what with the influx of Chinese direct-sale wheelsets and loads of established competitors at that pricepoint.

Plus, carbon spokes don't have a terrific reputation (r-SYS, anyone? OK, make mine a set of Spinergys)

Their lack of real aero credentials meant that the triathlon aero-weenie crowd in the US weren't that interested.

they seemed to get good reviews and at that weight level are pretty strong. either way there are some bargains out there now because of it as the excess stock seems to have been dumped on the market.

as for price point the carbon sports lightweight band seem to be doing pretty well
