Been out in my 350Z and come across two of them in the last week and they both seemed to want to make a point by atttaching themseles to my rear bumper, I know its faster, probably remapped as well, so probably a lot faster, well done, good job but I suspect 135i owners may end up acruing points fairly quickly !

May have been the same one twice but who can tell, the 1 series is quite numerous.

Slow down a bit. I get tailgated by other chavvy hatches when out in my girlfriends warm Ibiza FR. I slowly coast down to 10 below the limit and they're soon on their way.

Wouldnt call a 1 series chavvy but I think the owners are revelling in the performance, doesnt mean anyone else wants to join in.

I meant I am harassed by like for like cars, in the same way that a 135 and 350 are sort of like for like. I meant our car is chavvy, yours is certainly not.

I get it sometimes, normally when I'm making progress minding my own business a few weeks ago it was an S5 that just had to get past no matter what, then waved bye bye to me? The next week it was a highly tuned mini wastegates popping and hissing driving up my arse on the roundabout as if I were Cleland to his Plato, all very strange.

A fortnight ago I had an m135 do the 'spot, romp alongside/ close behind, give it jonny big potatoes at idle' just too close at each roundabout we met. Not clever, really.

Once I turned off the ring road I confess I got bored of the attention and started using the BEC's gearbox. I think his knicker elastic got snagged on the rear horizon.

Get a lovely big diesel 4x4, you don't care they are stuck to your bumper as they fail to intimidate. You are bigger and therefore better than them. smile

Best thing to do is hold your own and stick to 30 or what ever the limit of the road your on is, Act like you don't even notice them because they want you to react, doing just under 30 is a good one but don't slow down so much that it becomes obvious what you are doing play dumb and have some fun.

You bunch of boring old farts. I tend to race them where possible.

I slow down and drop into 2nd at 4k revs (dependent on speed limit etc.) - then as they go to overtake i embarrass them...just a bit of fun!

The worse i had with some alpina bmw m5 type thing - i was in a porsche 996 turbo and he kept on slowing down alongside me and beep twice and then accelerate!

At around 70mph i took the bait, realised his car was fast, probably modded or something!

Also in the same turbo I had a 370z try to do the same hehe

I'll have runs with people I know but not strangers driving agressively with something to prove, the S5 was an idiot as I pulled past him after he had undertook me at a roundabout he tried to swerve into my lane whilst we were at speed and I was along side him.

He found out the debadged 3 series he'd harrased had more power than his S5 but didn't like it, those kind of encounters aren't pleasurable and I admit I got dragged in but never again.

That could be rather dangerous and should not be advocated in my opinion. If someone wants to overtake for whatever reason, let them.

They could have a valid reason for being in a hurry, or they could be an idiot. I wouldn't want to hassle either.

As a rule, I'd rather have them in front of me than behind me.

Don't be a dick. Just get out of the way. When you drive a nice car "Mr Tiny Penis" is never far behind.... Better to have the idiots in front where you can see them.

OK, here's what you do, stop at the lights, he pulls alongside, he blips the throttle, you blip your throttle,
The lights turn amber, you build up the revs, they go green......you turn off.

Sorry should clarify i'm talking dual carriageway here - never block of an overtake on a single lane as you could end up with a horrible accident.
