Hi there, I have recently bought some vey nice autoart 1:18 911 models, really pleased with them, tried to find an autoart 355 but cant seem to find one.

Anyone got any recommendations for a 355 in the range 100-150 quid??

Mattel Elite series aren't too bad. I've got a 458 from that range and although it's not as good as Autoarts signature range it's a fair way above Bburago models.

Kyosho do a high detail 355 but they are a bit more expensive. I haven't got a Kyosho model but they do appear to be well made.

I usually buy my cars from http://cars.minimodelshop.co.uk/model-cars/Ferrari... you can usually get 10% back through quidco too.

When I was building my collection of 1/18 ferraris a few years ago, the accepted best 355 was from UT - they do all three variants (Spider, GTS and Berlinetta)

I've seen a couple of the Kyosho Ferrari's up close and I think the detail is better than some AutoArt models. I'd hold out for one of those if you can, as I didn't really rate the Hot Wheels stuff.

Yeah UT models or Hotwheels did some, but not sure they're were as good.

To be honest the UT models ones aren't exactly the most detailed replicas, but at least they got the shape right. They can be expensive though, but if you prevail then eventually you can pick them up at a decend price.

I have a Ferrari 355 Spider (real one) in yellow but bought a UT 1:18 red spider as I couldn't find a yellow one at a decent price. I'd planned on respraying the model the correct colour. However I never managed to get around to it but then found a yellow one with a slightly damaged box on ebay and got it for about £30!

So advice would be just keep an eye on ebay and something should come up!

Good lad, where did you get it from? I'm interested in what you think of it. I'm tempted with one myself.

Fair enough, I recommend getting some sort of case to store it in if you can. Dust can get everywhere and they aren't easy to clean due to the amount of detail on them.

I've got some of these. They are stackable too so your collection of cars can grow right up to the ceiling
