My fleet - Germans galore with the odd Jap.

With a winter coming I set aside a full day to hibernate, clean and change to winter rubber. The whole fleet were involved, so took the opportunity to take some pictures.

Firstly is the DC2. Bought in 2009 at 107k now on 113k. Used for summer months only, so cleaned, sorned, and away for winter. Pretty much immaculate, but does need a small amount of body work doing. That's a 2014 job.

It had the aftermarket wheels and Buddy Club exhaust when I bought it, but have original everything. This particular car is the first ever UKDM DC2, and is chassis number 1. It bloody flies!




I bought the MINI 2 years ago with 2k on the clock, now approaching 40k. Very nice spec, very easy to live with, very cheap to run too. Averages 45mpg, and I will not be due to pay for a service until 70k. Brakes have loads of live left, and tyre wear isn't bad.

I'm glad I have an S, but I just revel in the torque, and cruise around. Mikeymini has upgraded the sound system, and with all the toys it's a great place to be. Very different to my last one with a Milltek.

Likely to be swapping this for a M135i in the not to distant future.




This next one in many respects is my favourite. The family bought it as a run around in 2010 with 117k, I seemed to use it more than anyone borrowing it for many trips around the UK. With my mileage increasing to over 30k per year, and the possibility of piling miles on the mini, I elected to buy it off the family in June. I now keep the MINI to 1k per month, this does the rest. Now on 153k.

It is so comfy, great sound system standard, and does over 50mpg. Just back from the Ring where it took five of us in comfort, I cannot fault it. It's doesn't stand out, which is why I like it, it just gets on with it. This will stay until it dies, and with recent cambelt, clutch, DMF, radiator and water pump this could be many years yet.

Fitted my matt black steels with winter tyres today.





Kawasaki ZX6R was bought as a first bike. Truth be told for me it's a bit to mental. I fear crashing it so ride it very carefully, but still great fun. Nearly got rid this summer but cost of insurance with 1yr NCB and tax was so low I didn't see the point.



Bought this last month with a friend. Don't know what to do with it yet. Is not as good as it looks in this pic, been stood a while, but just 79k. Will take it for Mot and decide from there. It seems structurally sound.



Also collect my new track day car next Saturday. Bought with two others it will cost me less than £100 for my share! It's a 2000 325i saloon. Bit posh spec but will be a laugh, and has tax and test until spring 2014.

Finally my dad came round today in the car we bought him this summer. Only 32k, bought from hexagon BMW when prices were silly high, before they now are bonkers high! I love it, it's a keeper, and probably mine one day.




That's its, a fleet that works hard, especially the old Passat and the MINI, but all fun in there own way.

As you say the 635 may not be as nice as the pic, but is still pure sex on wheels I assume it's a 35 not a 2.8.
