There's an Escort Cosworth advertised for 7k and the advert reads pretty much the same, email address is the same too.

If it looks too good to be true then it probably is.

People must fall for it though or these stheads wouldn't waste their time doing it.

So let me get this straight - you advertise a bunch of cars at silly prices - you then get people to send deposits and 'arrange delivery' - you then disappear?

Anyone sending a deposit to someone they've never met for a car they've never seen almost deserves to lose their money surely?

I'm not a fan of con men but this is barely a con, anyone with a brain would see straight through it - it's almost a public service, educating people to not do stupid things surely?

I once read that those 'Nigerian Money Scams' are made deliberately and obviously 'fake' so that the only people who fall for them are real grade-A morons - because they will probably send money wheras other people will just "waste the scammer's time"

£4400 for a 59 Plate ST - that's really obviously fake smile

Generally speaking, the lowest price cars on places such as Autotrader are obvious scams. A 30 second search founs a 2010 mini @ £3100. Yeah, right...

Surely they should employ someone to cancel the myriad of scam ads, makes sites unusable.
That and any search for a low mileage car cluttered with dealer cars that have done 50 miles (but 50000 in the text!)

Its no wonder webuyanycar is so popular..

Ah but this isn't any Susan, this is the Nigerian Princess Susan Okadigbojangowango. You can't be too careful out there.
