Setting off on Goth run to Whitby yesterday. Pushed button under mirror: door clicked open and window came down but when inside closed the door and the window wont move up. Pushing the window up button and it moves up but still left a gap of an inch at the top! Repeated several times to try and fix but no joy mad . Went to whitby anyway, and had to leave car in car park with the window down an inch (took out battery immobiliser key to lock the car whilst I was away from it). Then back home I had to tape plastic bags over the gap to keep the rain out overnight. frown

Anyone had this problem and fixed it ?

Graham.

Hiya, I have a similar problem, but it is usually resolved when engine is running with a few revs, I suspect mine has a dodgy earth on that side which may be your problem also, but before you start ripping door cards off find the window control unit on top of fuel tank in boot I find a disconnect and reconnect sometimes acts as a bit of a reset. Check the security of the earth connection also above fuel tank, can't miss it, tis huge.
Best of
Cheers

Does seem to be a corroded connections. If you lock your car and open your car does your Windows squeeze tightly shut..

If the window won't close that top inch it probably thinks the door is open still. Of course it could be dodgy connections in the door but it could also be a dodgy reed switch in the bottom of the door.

If so the courtesy light will not go out when you close the door, so check for that.
