Most people I think like the Autosmart snow foam, or the Bilt Hamber snow foam.....they are all much of a muchness really.

Have a look at various detailing suppliers websites, there is more to snow foam than people think. Some will strip existing waxes/sealants some won't etc. It all depends on your maintenance program for car cleaning. They are not all 'much of a muchness'.

Check out polished bliss, detailing world, clean my car or detailed clean they will give you a summary of each product and its uses. Forget ebay, get the proper stuff.

Personal favorite of mine for all round cleaning power is R1-NE 'The breakthrough' from Reflectology. This can be mixed as snow foam, used as a shampoo or as an APC and applied with a small brush to all the fiddly areas.

+1 for the Autosmart snowfoam. I spoke to my AS dealer this morning and he said it doesn't strip wax off.

Bilt Hamber.

Various snow foams (TFR) are caustic (durafoam from autosmart for instance), so I just stick with Bilt Hamber.

thanks for the pointers guys. My neighbour saw me out by my cars at the weekend and after the normal pleasantries he said, oh i think i have some of that stuff in my garage, well it turns out he did which is a little odd as he doesn't have a pressure washer or generally any real appetite for cleaning his car. However, i got to try his Demon Shine car foam, and once i had got the lance etc set up i was quiet impressed.. quite a rich lather similar to the photos above in fact, so i have litre bottle of that thanks to the neighbour, the only thing was the dilution. . .the lable was scuffed on the bottle right at the point of the suggested mix, so i guessed at about an eight of the bottle to warm water. . .may have been a bit weak i suppose, but i will persevere and follow up when i have run out. will post a pic if i can find the lead to the laptop. . .doh

I ran out of foam yesterday so nipped to halfords and picked a small bottle of this up thinking anything is better than nothing my car was really dirty.

I just put 1'' of foam into the bottom of my bottle. This stuff gives a nice thick foam smells ok to. Not 100% about the cleaning propoties of it yet tbh.

I think the rest will be used on the Mrs car and see how well it does.

It just helps get rid of the dirt so hopefully you have less chance of damaging the paint.

I use the Autobrite MagiFoam stuff..... Haven't tried any other brands to ccmpare, but the AB stuff seems to work ok, and is good value if you buy a 5 litre container..

Ha...... That's how it comes out if you mix it according to the instructionssmile... You can of course make it less concentrated, by adding less to the mix....

It smells a bit like bananas toobiggrin
