I recently asked for advice regarding an imminent service and the advice given enabled me to have a more informed conversation with the service manager and saved me some money,so thank you to those involved.

£900.00!! Cripes, I nearly just choked.

I just did mine in an hour, with genuine parts and the proper oil for £125.00. Even used a new magnetic sump bolt and cleaned both throttle bodies.

How do they justify £900.00? I suppose if you can afford an Aston..................

Unfortunately it's late advice, but supply your own oil. The cost reduction on the £900 is significant (~£200) and if you get your oil from the right supplier, you should save £100-125 in total.
It's worth the hassle. Especially for a Scouser.

I'm assuming that's the 8th year Service charge at Wilmslow ??

Mr G usually takes his own oil so that would be one heck of a charge sans l'huile yikes

Not the whole story Gerry.
What MG omits to say is that the £900 includes a free weekend with my Ladyboys with any oil surplus to requirements being returned to spread over aforementioned Ladyboys.
Several Aston main dealers now offer this desirable addition to selected, privileged, customers. woohoo
