I have the urge to buy some sort of boy toy now December is approaching. Can anyone recommend me a good one?
Maybe something to build or something to have a bit of fun with. Nothing more than £200 though.

I say boy toy but I mean man toy and nothing sexual wink

Cheers

Outdoors or indoors?

An air rifle is always fun.

Possibly a helicopter. Either with a camera or maybe, 'fricken lasers!'...

Indoor. I'm thinking something to build or something to build with an engine.

My birthday today and I am just on the verge of ordering that Damn Lego Unimog, im 43 and I still want a bloody technic Lego, I keep going and having a look on Amazon, I still haventlost that frisson of excitement I got in Toy and Hobby in Stockport as a ten year old with a wallet full of birthday money when I see Lego boxes.

Remember getting this,

and this,

In the same visit, the excitement was only eclipsed by getting this a couple of years later,

Lego should re-issue these sets,

Do they come as a set or do they have to be built?

My Dad has this exact Steam locomotive. He had to build it up from a kit. The boiler etc was all one piece but the wheels all had to be added iirc.

I vaguely remember the top one and still have the other two, although unfortunately not the boxes. All the bits and instructions are now kept in a big plastic tool box.
