Got an Ebay account that I won't be using again, but it has a selling fee invoice of about £7.00 which I don't particularly feel like Ebay deserve, neither do I wish to pay.

Can Ebay issue some kind of court order/CCJ/other kind of penalty if I the invoice is not settled?

You'll get bombarded with emails threatening further action, collection etc and you'll be suspended from buying/selling. But it's not worth further action.

But then again it's £7 ffs. Just pay it.

Did you use their services?
Was there an issue with the service provided or do you just feel like not paying?

They may be a big faceless corporate monster but you owe them money for services rendered.

Perhaps when we buy/use a service from you we should just decide we don't want to pay afterwards.

Normally I would agree with the above, but eBay and PayPal are a bunch of tossers.

They've got worse.

FInal value fees on posage now!

When I sell things I have to state in listing "£5.65 for postage, 57p for ebays 10% on it, sorry folks!".

OP, very much doubt so, the cost to go through small claims court is more than this. If your Paypals linked to account, I'd cancel that too though, as they can take money out..........

Don't think you can close the account when there are monies owed. Your account is linked to a credit/debit card and your bank account so they will just take the funds to which they are entitled as per your user agreement that you agreed to when you opened the account.

The paypal account linked to it has zero currency and is linked to an obsolete back account, so they can fk off. Additionally, after paypal wouldn't let me access credit after the sale in question, I refunded the buyers cash and I won't be using PP again either.

Watch they don't take the money from that account anyway, leaving you overdrawn, and if you don't have an overdraft could cost you more per day than the £7 you owe them.

Lifes too short for aggro over £7 in my opinion.

And one day you might want to use them again. Maybe not eBay but Paypal can be very useful.

There is, I believe, an old adage about not pissing off too many people on the way up.....

...because you might need their help on the way down.

How about a nice, calm letter (of complaint) setting out why you are VERY DISAPPOINTED in what they have and have not provided for you. How it's such a shame, that in principle they appear to have a good offering but you feel you could not recommend or advocate them. And set out why you think you should not pay whatever. (And that you're not inclined to use their services in the short term unless they change their offering)

They might surprise you.

Or you could find as many online boards as you can and declare them a bunch of tossers - of course!
