Even I can work out which two are any good and which two should be banished to the restaurant at the end of the universe....

Must have been "pink porridge"'s lucky day. The girl was even more clueless than he was! You do have to wonder at the level of screening and calibre of contestants if that is the best they can do.

She looked like a smackhead or lacking in several days sleep, I couldn't quite work out which.
Either way it looks like this series is going to continue the tradition of providing moments staggering disbelief that the people are really professional chefs.

I always feel that I should watch it with a notebook handy to take down the names of restaurants that I never want to eat in...

I don't get this either. The series is something like 24 episodes long, and i'm a little bored of watching dozy no-hopers pretending to cook. This is not X Factor, these are supposed to be pros. I'm just going to wait till the real Chef appears (Michel Roux).

I thought the standard of cooking tonight was very good. Monica Galetti really annoys me pulling these stupid faces.

I reckon she should enter one of those gurning competitions, she'd win hands down!

Sort of the point that you don't use your hands in a gurning comp - but IKWYM. And yes
