Now its dark in the evenings I've noticed that the door handle LEDs behave in a strange way on my 07 V8 Vantage. When I unlock the car they don't light up so in a dark car park its hard to see where to push the handle. When you find the handle and push on them they light up and the door sill lights light up even befor the door is opened. When i close the door I get a dim flashing light at about a 2 second interval.

Seems a bit strange to me that they only light up when I've found where to push on the door, which is hard to do when its dark. Is this normal or just another strange feature of owning an Aston?

Wait, what, LED lights? I don't think mine has them.

They are fitted and read that post but doesn't refer to the issue I have. Anybody got any other ideas?

Sorry I can't help but (half) share your problem: When I unlock the car the door handle lights do not light up until you push the door handle in (passenger door only, driver's door fine).

Any clues?

I have exactly the same. Only light up when the handle is pushed in. Did either of you find a fix?

I had the same thing happen to me on my passenger side door handle. When I unlocked the car the passenger handle 2 led's didn't light up.

I am afraid that I can't say how much it was because I had it repaired under warranty, but I think they said it was a failed isolator in the door, what ever that is scratchchin

Thanks. Sounds suitably vague for warranty work. No paperwork or part numbers presumably as done under warranty?

I'm afraid the invoice had the vague description and obviously £0.00 as the
cost was warranty work.
