Evening all,

Next job on the list is to get my chassis all sanded, rust proofed and painted, I've already got a set of new and shiny chassis / wishbone bolts etc (thanks Adrian@)

I've done this job before on my Chimaera with the car just on axel stands and its a nightmare so here is my ask

Would anyone near Solihull, West Midlands have any of these (or similar) I could borrow for a week or so........beer / wine / scotch tokens a plenty

That looks like an interesting bit of kit. Can you provide details of manufacturer or even better a web-site for me to get more info.

Clever but a pain to store and not as versatile as you cant go up and down without moving the car other type stores easy when not in use

Clever and probably good for doing work on things like brakes at a comfortable height, but for actually getting under the car, chassis cleaning/painting for example, too high to lie underneath and way too low to stand? Can't think that a kind of kneeling position would be too comfortable for very long?

Glen, the ones in your "Spitfire" picture look like they wind up with a jack handle or maybe a good cordless drill? Would imagine that would make them a lot cheaper than Andrews posh hydraulic ones scratchchin

CJ are at the NEC and usually bring stock down to sell and they will often do a show offer so worth ringing them and even if they are not bringing those they would put one on the van and save the carrage.
I find it very useful would have loved a post ramp but not enough head room in the garage so this is the best compromise.
