Surely some of Hondas V4s, like the RC30, must be some of the best bikes on the road.

I had been considering which bikes had the best induction noise, a lot of people seem to talk about the induction on older ZX6Rs and Suzuki SRAD models...

Rutter on the Manx and Johnson on the MV, battling it out sounded glorious

Are they so loud that you can hear them easily over wind noise? I tried watching some videos on youtube where people were talking about the induction bark, but all I could hear was wind and exhaust, though I appreciate youtube videos are not a great representation of what things sound like in person, and induction noise always seems much louder in person than does on film. I've watched videos on Civic Type R's like my old one with induction kits and they seem really quiet on video, but the noise absolutely dominated the cabin on my car.

Under hard acceleration in the lower gears yes you can.

My mates race K1 GSXR600 at Anglsey circuit really did have incredible induction sound. Stood on the pit wall (old circuit) it sounded incredible.

Personally I do prefer the scream of a highly strung 600 too over a 1000 cc four. Having said that my Guzzi twin sounds ace and those RSV4 sound very special indeed.

Does anyone else find the sound of the bike engine a massive part of the appeal of riding motorbikes? For me its a huge part of why I love motorbikes, not just the freedom, speed and challenge of improving my ability. I'm glad motorcycling is a hobby and not my daily transport.
