Hi there, I was wondering if anyone can help please.
I bought a brand new car in June this year. From the moment I got the car I have have not been happy. The first time I drove the car I kept hearing a knocking sound, I called the dealership and the said come in to the service dept, which I did the next day and when they looked at the car they said the transporter block was still left in one of the wheels, I thought ok and let them take it out. I then noticed the DAB radio didn't work with the Bluetooth so after the service dept checked over on a few different occasions they changed the mic to the Bluetooth which didn't work. I was then told that I would have to have the DAB radio changed to FM whilst they sort out a fix. I'm still waiting! I wouldn't mind but I paid extra to have the car with a DAB radio. Then which I feel is the most important problem is the semi auto gearbox, it doesn't release the high gears when I'm breaking. Also when I'm slowing right down and then put my foot down on the gas the car just won't select any gear. Which is quite dangerous when u see a gaps in the traffic and the car just revs but hasn't selected any gear. I had it back to the servicing dept and they said the car needed a software update which I let them do. I picked up my car and it still had the same problem. I had an indepentant engineer to look and test drive my car and he confirmed that the car has a fault, stating ECU needed replacing. I have now told the garage that I am rejecting the car because it's only done just over 3000 miles and feel it is unacceptable to have to things replaced so early. The indepentant engineer also put in he's report that the car was faulty prior purchase. Have I got grounds to reject? Sorry for the long story

You can reject it if you want, but I very much doubt they will be obliged to replace it or refund, especially as you have had it since June.

Thank you for your advice. It's not 6 months old yet and it's very frustrating.

Strangely Nipsips, the original poster has almost exactly the same issues and asks for exactly the same advice.

Oh, I see this is your first post on PH. Welcome.
