Alpina B10 3.3 Touring - I pick one up on Saturday (6th Nov)
Discussion
SORRY, TYPO IN THE TITLE - IT'S A 3.2 NOT A 3.3
I move to Australia next year, and as a result (having thought about buying a MkV Golf R32)decided to just keep the car spend low - This was fine, a friend had asked me to sell his E46 330i Sport Saloon for him, and having run it for several weeks whilst it awaited a registration transfer, I thought i would buy it for myself...
BUT, then i noticed that an Alpina B10 3.2 Touring that i had known (and lusted after)since about 2008 was for sale, and had been reduced to a good price (it had spent the last 10months advertised £7995.00)
Now - in Australia, European cars are really expensive second hand, and i have always had an Alpina itch that needed scratching. So the timing is perfect!!
The more and more i think about the prospect of owning this car, the more i am excited - I know you either get the 'Alpina thing' or you don't but for me i cant think of a better car to do lots of things in Europe in the first half of next year that i might never get to do again...
It will hopefully do a run to Switzerland just after Christmas, a trip to Paris in April and be the car i pop my Le Mans cherry in, come June.
The car has a manual gearbox (all the 3.2s are) it's silver and has a crazy Alpina cloth re-trimmed interior.
I will add pictures on Saturday.
