I'm needing 2 new front tyres on my car, I'v looked around a few sites and the choice seems to be very limited.

I don't have a clue about tyres, but the stock tyres that came on the car from new are Bridgestones.

I don't do a lot of mileage but I want to keep decent tyres on the car.

The Black Circles choice consists of:

215/40 R17 V

Bridgestone Potenza £124.49
Pirelli P7 £133.30
Dunlop SP Sport Maxx £123.40

Advice/opinions would be helpful. smile

I always use bridgestones, definitely my tyre of choice.

Have you looked at these guys?

Used them a few times now and found totem competitive and fast to deliver.

www.camskill.co.uk is consistently the cheapest for me. Service is great too.

Both the sites have the Potenza's at £108 each.

I think they are what's on the car now, guess I'm just better sticking with them then!

215/45/R16 by any chance? VAG?

It's a of a size isn't it? Camskill used to have Vreds for £90 which were pretty decent. Got Conti Premium 2s on an Ibiza FR, sticky but not great in the wet.
Yea its an Ibiza FR I have too.

My last car (C2 VTR) I just cheaped out and put the cheapest Chinese tyres on it I could get and didn't keep it long, this car has a lot more pace so needs the decent tyres and grip when I'm moving on. smile

Try Event Tyres on line.

Prices seem similar but wider choice and they come to you to fit at home or work.

Used them before and they did a great job.

Got an Ibiza with the 16s, now that is hard to get tyres for.

Camskill stock a lot more brands than anybody else in Seat 17 size...

Obviously have to pay to fit them.

I've had the following on Ibizas...

Pirelli P7s - st and wear out quickly.
Bridgstone Turanza - Acceptable, wear slow, great in the wet.
Goodyear Something - Completely unremarkable.
Vreds - Great budget tyre.

You can get Uniroyals for £80 in the 17s. No direct experience, but they are well regarded.
