Hi, the Tour de France is coming through our villages next year, meaning our local council are sprucing up our tracks turning them into roads. Which is very good until you go of piste and see how bad our roads have become .

Any way I digress all this tar spraying is leaving a lot of tar on my shinning pristine white camper, has anyone a easy way to get this tar of , baby wipes or some sort of magic way biggrin

Autoglym tar remover is brilliant. Wipe on and then wipe off! Alternatively WD40 has the same effect but then you have the lovely job of removing the oil from your paintwork. HTH

Tardis X is a de-tar agent so you wash the car with your usual shampoo then spray this onto the affected areas. A quick wipe down after a few minutes should remove the majority of the tar.

Stepping up a gear you can get a clay bar (I recommend Bilt Hamber soft) which you can do after the above. You basically lubricate the surface of the car and rub a bar along the paintwork which pulls off the tar. Bilt Hamber uses tap water as lubricant, others use a quick detailer which can be an additional expense.

If you're ordering online if recommend the Polished Bliss store.

This as well. But polish treated areas afterwards as petrol removes all polish so leaves paint unprotected.
