Hi Wider Caterham Community
I'll soon be purchasing my first Caterham and I don't have a garage of my own. I live in Tower Hamlets so leaving it on the street, I have decided, would be too much for the locals to resist getting in / vandalising / stealing outright.
I'm ultimately looking for some kind soul to allow me to rent a garage space to keep my Caterham in. I won't need it to tinker with the car, and I don't envisage using it except at weekends when the weather is fair and also for longer European excursions. I hoping to find a reasonable rate as this cost would be surplus to car maintenance/insurance/ petrol, upgraditis, etc
To offset low rental costs, I would be willing to let whomever I rent it from borrow it on the occasions I won't use it. The Caterham is a 2006, 1.6 K series, appollo, wide track, minister forged pistons, in black.
I'd consider all areas in London and within 45 minutes from London.
PM me if you'd like to earn a bit of extra cash and drive the car.

I park mine in a secure underground resident's car park. I think garages can be vulnerable in the wrong area.
Plenty of car parks in the docklands area so easy to find with rates from £60 to £100 per month.
In my experience, you want your car near you for when you need a blat. Having it 45 mins away may mean it doesn't get used..

Just to say thanks for all the replies.
In the end I got an unturnable-downable offer in East London until June for substantially less than market prices, and then another garage, next door to another garaged Caterham, in South London from then on.
And lastly a very big thank you goes to the gentleman who not only has offered up a lot of pearls of wisdom and encouragement but who also currently has my car temporarily in his garage free of charge whilst I sort out the paperwork and without which I would have been completely stymied.
