Just out of curiosity what sort of mileage are you doing each month with thirsty engines?

By thirsty I mean averaging less than around 24mpg.

Im getting around 21-22mpg and am doing around 8-900miles per month. It's costing a lot hehe

V6 Teens around town, 300-500 miles a month.

Had it since March and done 6253 miles so about an average of 798 in total, about 400/month is business miles though so personal miles (ie the ones I have to pay for!) is only about 400.

Mostly average 16 (town driving and lots of stop/start on the motorway commute).

18-20 mpg only cover 500-600 miles a month though.

Just checked the jeep and it's currently reading 17.3 mpg from it's 4.0 litre straight 6.

Not bad for an engine that hasn't changed much since 1964

I average around 200 miles a month, the rest I do in a diesel land rover

Calculated 11mpg once in the 928.

Mileage: zero, because I can't afford the repairs.

21mpg. Around 1400 miles per month.

Stopped using Road Trip as it was too depressing.

22 mpg and 3500 per month. LPG, though, so not too painful.

I do about 900 @ 24 ish mpg in my 525ia.

Will be abit more though this month as im going to manchester to see family.

Abit of a shock when comming from a tdi golf especially when you earn under 25k a year!!

I think 55- 60 a week is a steady figure for petrol with non of my journeys being over 10 mile at a time.

Im struggling to see if its worth it atm but not had the car long.

I often dip below 25mpg in our van. Luckily it does less than 8k miles a year. A bit irksome for a four pot (180bhp) diesel! That's what a lot if weight does though.
