Just how big is the "pose factor" /attention getting and grin factor of the Cerbera

Call me a sad git, but I enjoy people recounting the reaction experiences of their TVR's I hope to join the madhouse next year, would love to hear some positive experiences from owners, something to look forward to

Had all manner of reactions. Best one had to be when I stopped in town one Saturday night to take a phone call. By the time I got off the phone, I had 3 stunning girls in matching mini-skirts (which suited them particularly well) asking if I was a taxi. Said it depended on where they were going. Ended up ferrying them to the club, and spend the rest of the evening with them all. Great night... what I remember of it.

Other end of the spectrum... had some cave-whore in the aforementioned town throw a strop because I was a flash git - she was VERY drunk, and crossing the road straight into oncoming traffic (green light). Stopped the car to save her from dying for at least a while, and she launched into a verbal tirade that led onto her throwing kebab meat at my car, repeatedly hitting it, and eventually lobbing stones at the bodywork. All to the amusement of the local constabulary.

On the whole, it was a very, VERY positive ownership from the "nice car, mister" perspective. Get an even more positive reaction in the Tuscan, though.

Got the thumbs up and "cooool car mister" from a young lad leaning out his car window and less than 100 yds up the road got a wolf whistle and wave from a little old lady. Nuff said

Bet she wasn't wearing a mini-skirt and didn't drag you into a night-club to while away a evening, though. Ner-ni-ner-ni-ner-ner.

No, but I did have a rampant, unbelievably filthy one night stand with Kylie a few months back, tho' she ruined it by confessing I wouldnt have stood a chance if it wasnt for owning a cerbera....

particularly as its yellow. See, even Ms Minogue prefers yellow cerbs

Small world... Dannii was telling me about that the other night. And they both agreed that the Tuscan's the one that does it for them. If only there were a third seat in the car...

Never fails to amuse me how you get want a group of people look around when you're a long way behind as they've heard the rumble, then their eyes follow you to the horizon...

Sometimes a little overrun for their appreciation is a nice touch

Only problem is other driving suffering from jaw-drop, saw an MPV plough into the side of a Cerbera once as the drive has lost focus

Does anyone else reckon they would do half as much optimax if they didnt rev up and let off everytime they saw someone walking along the pavement 100 yds ahead! Esp, if they are miniskirted!

I've been cruzing down by the river and had some young ladies smile and wink in appriciation, then nearly ran into the back of the car in front. I slipped very quickly under the dashboard to save my blushes!!

Another time the wife and I with my daughters left the car at the side of the road whilst we all took a walk down the river. We crossed over the bridge and walked down the other side of the river and within 5 minutes the car was mobbed by people looking and looking through the windows. We sat on a bench and watched them in amazement. Almost every person who walked by stopped and had a look. Most of the people were middle aged or older.

I was parking the other day, and the chap I'd been following got out of his car, and waiting to speak to me. Doddery old bloke, flat cap, pipe - here we go I thought, I'm going to get an earful because he doesn't like the noise!

He waited patiently, and then when I got out, he shook my hand!

"Just wanted to say it's wonderful to see a young man driving something so beautiful, and what's more it's English!"

I was gobsmacked! It's funny that in our village, the council get all het up with complaints about hedges being too high, or someone's wayy being two inches to the left, but in six months of driving in and out at all hours of the day and night, I've not had one complaint!

On our way back from Le Mans last year Tripps and I were, shal we say, running a little late . As we came rushing into the port are I nearly missed by slip road on the right... quick look, just about a gap, on the over run, almost cut up an old Aston Martin , popping and banging as I did it. Anyway, pulled into the terminal and we had already missed the boat by about 5 mins. Just then looked in my rear view, and who is pulling up behind me, you guessed it, the Aston driver. Oh bugger thinks I. He then proceeds to get out of his car as starts walking up to me. "Here we go", I think.... But I will never forget his opening remarks.... "That exhaust note is WILD... can you please start it now so I can hear it properly close up" After a good chat about our steeds we went out seperate ways.

I was out with the wife and as we were pulling up to wait at a level crossing we drove past 3 boys who were all waving and shouting 'TVR'. They caught up with us, windows open of course, and said 'Nice car mister'. There I am sat with a big, fat, smug grin on my face when one pipes up 'Yeah, your bird's not bad either'. There is wifey sat with a big, fat, smug grin on her face. Felt obliged to cane it when the train had passed.

Witham high street last week just about to start her up. Saw in my mirror a man and wife walking up behind with the man pushing his young daughter in the push chair. I thought....I can't start her now as I didn't want to scary the little one. Anyway, the more I waited the more my devil's voice got louder. Sod it...I started her. The daughter didn't flinch but the man ducked nearly hitting the floor. My wife and I had tears while driving off

I went to a Merton Abbey Mills market the other day with the wife and little one. They where building new flats so the carpark was in a right state. The guys directing the cars asked if I would park the Cerb in front of the sales office to try and make people think I was going to buy one of the flats. When we came back to the car about 10 people where standing around the car. I tried to push through and got told to wait my turn. Pulled out the key fob and turn off the alarm. I felt 10 feet tall getting in.
No other car will pull a crowd like a Cerb.

It's not much, but last weekend we were going up to Sywell to look at the planes with some friends. I took my friend in the Cerb, and our husbands both went in her fellas Primera.

She'd not been in it before, and was absolutely squealing (literally) every time I put my foot down. We were driving slowly through a village and passed these two teenage lads on their bikes. They both did 'thumbs up' to us and massive grins on their faces. "Are they doing that at us, really?" was all she could say. Really put a smile on my face.

Was in Tescos car park once, and walking up to the shop there were these two "trolley attendants" chatting away. All I could hear was "TVR, wow" and similar. You can't help but smile.

Lots of instances. You can't beat driving past a country pub where they sit on tables outside, ease off the throttle and pop and bang past the tables. The amount of looks and thumbs up is great.

Once stopped at said pub, parked her up and immeidately four chaps who were in their Z3s came over, asked if they could have a sit in it. Had a beer with them, and when i was leaving they requested that i 'give it some' when pulling away, which i duly obliged

After warming the car up first of course

When cerberas start up, are how loud are they? Louder than the precat RV8's?

Fantastic stories from all you! Really enjoying the thread! more more
