water in boot panel

Hi All
Can I ask you all for a little help again. I have a mini cooper convertible 09 and there is water in between the boot panel. When I open the boot I can here water wooshing around inside.
Obviously I need to find out where the water is coming in but I can't get the car into the garage for a couple of weeks. In the meantime I need to get the water out but I can't see any drainage holes in the boot panel. I have looked at the black cover on the side of the boot panel but can't see how that comes off. I am a bit worried about shoving a screwdriver all around it to try and lift it off in case I cause further damage.
Any thoughts on how to get the water out in the meantime
