I was in a friend's Tuscan the other day, and noticed that, over 100 mph (roughly), the rear screen vibrated very badly, resonating the entire car.

Do they all do this?

Take it to your dealer and get them to check the seal inside the top slot and the brackets at the bottom and the strip along the boot lid - I am guessing that one or more of these is missing and causing too much play on the rear screen

Personally I wouldn't dream of driving at over 100 mph anywhere other than a track, officer. Mine doesn't do it though. Must get round to applying the velcro fix for the incredible amount of squeaking I get from the window instead...

Dealers now have some nice fuzzy felt to fix this, save you going to the dress makers shop to ask for Velcro Oh and it is covered under warranty so it is free!

also - could be square wheels - this would cause the vibration, with which the 'screen is resonating? - worth checking.

Mine did this with the roof removed. Wind buffeting in the car made the rear window resonate 'cos it's plastic. Roof on was fine, roof and rear window removed was fine too - good airflow, no buffeting.

Luca, My earlier post was a bit trite - bad day in the office ! I have had the 'velcro' mod and it makes it better but fundamentally when the roof is off and the rear window in it will resonate due to the airflow.

I've not done the velcro thing yet, but have been out without the rear window, and no vibration, obviously.

Ho hum, another fine evening last night...took a TVR mad friend out for a spin round Wimbledon Village and the A3.

Lots of positive expletives and big smiles. He enjoyed the trip too
