I would like to do some track days next year, particularly at Bedford, are racing cars allowed (early Mallock), the wheels have mudguards and it will be silenced to their requirements............Martin

Unless the TDO states "road cars only" race cars are allowed. I don't think I've ever been to more than one or two track days where there weren't race cars - and I'm normally in one myself!

There has always been one or two at the trackdays I have done, just check the regs from the TDO and of course it has to meet the noise limits.

I suggested to MSE that I wanted to take a Radical to their airfield days and they aren't allowed. I think they are ok at circuits, but it is worth checking.

They typically don't allow open wheelers on trackdays. As long as yours are covered to road-legal spec, you should be fine.

I don't think there's ever usually issues for Ariel Atoms, for example.

Generally speaking, single seat, open wheeled formula style cars aren't allowed. Most other stuff is ok. There was a Lola T70 and Porsche 962 at the last Spa day I was at smile
