Synchro Motorsport and Castle Combe will be running the successful Dave Allan Trophy Race in 2014.

The entire event will be held on the 26th May 2014.

There will a 30min Qualifying in the morning and the days feature race will be a 90min Handicapped Endurance race in the afternoon.

The rules and regs will be published soon but are basically the same as the 2013 race.

With 2hrs of track time and an entry fee of £499 we are confident of filling the grid with even more cars than we had this year.

CASTLE COMBE ENDURANCE RACE FOR THE “DAVE ALLAN TROPHY” SUPPORTED BY HONDA OF THE UK MANUFACTURING LTD.
Monday 26th May 2014.
HEADLINES:-
90 minute race with up to 3 drivers per car.
30 minute qualifying.
2 hours total track time, for just £499.00 per car, + £25.00 for each extra driver
Compulsory 3 minute pit stop with optional refueling.
Pit’s to car radio allowed.
Rolling Start.
Declared handicap following qualifying.

BACKGROUND
This annual memorial race is in memory of former Honda test & race driver Dave Allan and is made possible by the support of Honda of the UK Manufacturing.
It is designed to enable even the slowest car the opportunity to win due to an open declared handicap designed to equal out performance of all competitors, additionally it gives an affordable opportunity to sample Endurance racing. Eligible cars are any Sports Car, Saloon Car, GT, Touring Car of any engine capacity. Specifically Sports Racing Cars, Sports Prototypes or any Single Seater Racing Car are ineligible.
Eligible competitors must hold and MSA National “B” or higher competition licence.

REGULATIONS
No competitor may drive more than one car in the same race, ie no multi drives.
Each car entered may have a minimum of 1 driver & up to a maximum of 3 drivers.
The entry fee for 1 driver in 1 car is £499.00 each additional driver must additionally pay £25.00 each.
Pit to Car intercom Radio’s are permitted as an option.

QUALIFYING 30 minutes, all competitors MUST qualify in the car they are racing, the fastest qualifying driver in each car must be the driver starting the race.
HANDICAP, following qualifying the MSA licenced handicapper will issue each car with a timed handicap irrespective of driver, the handicapers decision as a judge of fact is final, each cars handicap will be published in advance of the race start.
GRID POSITIONS will be formed from the actual fastest qualifying times of each car, the fastest qualifying driver must be the race starter.
THE START WILL BE A ROLLING START, no overtaking may take place until your individual car passes over the control line at the front of the grid.
RACE DURATION 90 minutes, within which a mandatory pit stop of 3 minutes must be taken after 20 minutes elapsed from the start of the race ( pit open will be signaled ) but prior to 20 minutes before the end of the race ( pit closed will be signaled ). REFUELING during the pit stop optional refueling is allowed but nobody must be in the car or working on the car whilst refueling is taking place.
TYRES are completely free / optional.
TYRE CHANGING can take place at any time during the race other than during the refueling of your car.
ELIGIBLE CARS:- All competing cars must fully comply with MSA regulations as defined in the MSA year book ( 2014 Blue Book ). Any Saloon Car, Sports Car, GT Car or Touring Car is eligible irrespective of modifications.
FUEL options can be Petrol, Diesel, HyBrid or Electric.
RACE RESULTS will be declared after the application of each cars handicap.

AWARDS:-
Trophy to the fastest qualifier.
Trophy to 1st overall on the road.
Trophies to 1st, 2nd, 3rd overall after the imposition of the handicap.

TYRES are completely free / optional

Wow - might take the BM and run it on bare rims all day. (Probably wouldnt be too much slower with my driving!)

Yeah it is if u got to sit through it I just do not see the point of allowing a 90 min to take plaxe with a entry just sneaking into double figures even uf Matt Neal is taking part.

Its a nice idea but only works if drivers I willing to support it!!
