Clearly I could not afford any of the iconic Italian
metal but wanted something that would both be challenging
to learn to handle yet be docile enough to not need any
complicated machining or exotic fuels to run her.
Ripspeed and Halfords do not sell parachutes amongst
the bin sized exhausts so had to have one of those - plus
apparently its how we slow down....
Amazing to think the engine will unlikely reach say
300 miles in total as each run is only between 10 secs - 8.5 seconds
and then she is switched off ready for a tow home back to
base.
Having no cooling nor radiator means both the warming
up / lining up and a little run up the track all happens
within 3 minutes. They then get to cool down and checked with
a heat source "gun".
Not the most complicated steering wheel but you do have to hang on !

I had her dynod recently and on standard cams and a standard
chevy V8 with no charger etc (maybe later) she is hitting over 400
in torque power and over 400 in straight horse power with only my
sorry body to carry once I am strapped in.
Two gears but having just been built I ran her just
on top gear - so an auto trans she ran 6.825 in 660 feet.
More adventures next year along with a big boys / girls
pill to swallow and then use both gears and full power
rather than half throttle....

Long Marston).

Its not good to race / try to steer a straight course
when the track is cold or wet.
Next "drift" or drive RWYB is really Feb but there are
earlier dates but a bit risky for my car.

That is Tony Smiths car doing the fire burnout? So don't see the relevance to yours? Unless you are the Steve that built Tonys chassis?
As for racing in a wet track, even at RWYBs it doesn't happen, the track becomes like ice when water sits on the rubber...
All in all, this is all very odd, I know the car you have uploaded photos of so why no full profile pics for the people here?
