No, not beloved motors that you stoved into a dry stone wall. Car models that seemed to bite the bullet early and were never properly replaced.

I'll kick it off with the Skyline GT-R R34. Produced for just three years (1999-2002) after which we had to wait seven years for the next GT-R.

Not on the same level, but the Fiat Panda 100hp (2006-2010) fun, well regarded warm hatch killed by EU emissions legislation after only 4 years.

Nissan killed off a couple of model lines in 2002, also killed off the Silvia at the same time (S15 had same production run as the R34, but still no replacement S-body)

Ill pick one I was disappointed about when i heard it'd been discontinued, the Honda S2000.

The Ford Puma was generally well regarded by all, but only lasted four years and wasn't replaced.

Audi A2 was not really developed and was not replaced - the A1 is not really the same kind of thing, sadly.

Matra built the Espace for Renault; they came up with the original concept which was proposed to Peugeot who said "it'll never work", with Espace IV Renault decided to build it in house themselves, Matra then came up with the Avantime as they effectively had nothing to build, it was built on the Espace III chassis.

The Wind is still sold in Europe however I'm not surprised it bombed here, really it was a half arsed attemtp so therefore it's demise here wasn't really premature.

Premature end? It had been made in various guises for 25 years. Hardly premature.
