After much deliberation went for a supersport r.

Thanks all for advice / suggestions.

Looking forward to reporting back on ownership / first drive - take delivery next week

Chuffed with spec and car - firecracker yellow + suede mono are the highlights

Bring it on!

so if you get it soon just watch on wet/greasy surface and don't wrap it round a pole. Just forget what you know about driving and realise if you make a mistake clever electronics wont save you smile

Thanks all...

It is the ex demo smile looks like it was their press car for the SSR...hopefully those motoring journalists drove her with mechanical sympathy!

Cheers Andy...will be taking delivery next week and yeah, appreciate the nod about the slippery roads etc

Do you guys use yours all year round?

Stu, I'm in didsbury keeping the car in northwich though so most of my blats will start from that way....where are you?

Martin,

I have only recently taken delivery of mine in kit form. I will be building it over the winter ready for next year. :-)

Congratulations Martin, welcome to the fold. As a fellow SuperSport R owner I can honestly say you have made a fine choice smile

How many miles did the demonstrator have put onto it by all the journalists if you don't mind my asking?

Also, funnily enough, I think I have your car as my current screen saver in the office. Is it this one here?

Your car?

Congratulations on the purchase smile

I use mine all year round as long as it's dry and there's not a load of salt on the roads. (I'll happily take it out if we've had some rain to clear the salt away).

Took mine out for a blat yesterday and it was great. It hasn't been run in over a month so I thought I'd better clear the cobwebs out of the exhaust!

It is just a weekend car though, I wouldn't use it to pop to the shops!

I test drove this car at CCM, I offered to buy it and they said it wasn't for sale !

Maybe I should have asked them again.

I thoroughly enjoyed the drive - hope you're happy with the purchase.

I bet they sold it since the winter was coming and expected it to be sat around a while. They'll probably have a new demo car by the spring.

Wow that's nothing at all, I'd have expected more than that.

I expect its had some spirited drives but to be honest I'm in the camp that thinks running the engine reasonably hard from the outset is probably for the best anyway. Let's face it, it's barely run in. Enjoy your purchase.

P.s - im very jealous of your suede wheel. Their supplier went out of business a while back so they no longer have any. You've done well to secure one!

I think once you're up to temperature, you should be able to drive it as it's meant to be driven.

Mine arrived with a Leather one too! I was gutted when I opened it! I have been informed it will be replaced with a Suede on at the PBC!
