Hi guys I'm new to piston heads and I have a question is like to ask , i bought a bmw mini john cooper works in chilly red in summer this year on a o4 plate and love it it's only got 35k on the clock and front sparco leather seats the hut I bought it from only used it at weekends and it's spent most of its life in the garage I have the original recept for the car and on it it mentions all the spec that was added to it including 18 inch cooper works wheels but the guy took them of and put 17 inc john cooper works wheels bank on with run flats which I thought was ok as there great for handling seems to grip as if it was on a track anyway to cut a long story short I want to change these 17 in wheels back to 18 inch which I bought there the mini gp cooper works do I need steering lock limiters or do you think they will already be on my car as it did have 18 inch wheels from the factory before the 17s we're put on . I did notice when I got the car home and I backed of my driveway to go up the street it didn't have much of a steering lock com paired to my bmw e46 this is my first mini so was wondering are all minis like this on the steering lock thx guys hope you can help as I want to put my gp wheels on at the weekend .

I think punctuation may help haha.

But on a serious note, don't put 18s on it. 18s look gash and handle like st on MINIs. Optimum size for handling on MINIs is 16s so really should be going bigger than 17s. As for the runflats, they also handle like absolute st. Stick some decent rubber on the 17s and bin the GP wheels.

If you do go ahead with them, I would guess the steering lock won't be much different.
