First off hello everyone, 1st time posting but have been long time lurker here.
I finally have a question that I cannot answer though and was hoping that you good people might be able to help me.

The heated seat element in my drivers seat is broken (element has burnt out an broken in one place)
Ford want £250+ for a new one, I have found a seat base on ebay for £65.
I have however found this on ebay
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pair-Of-Carbon-Fibre-Ele...

Would I be able to replace the standard element in my seat with this one?
Mine has 5 heat settings, this seller is selling one with 5 heat settings as well but it is more expensive and the element part of it looks exactly the same.

Prob not worth the effort - I barely use mine and actually don't like the queasie feeling they give me - Mine are used only for roughly a couple of minutes on very cold mornings just to take the edge off the leather - If they broke I certainly wouldn't miss them or bother repairing them - Have you maybe tried finding a complete salvage seat to fit?

yes you can use them they work just fine.
I fitted one to my wifes SLK earlier this year
the SLK needs a seat base at £1000 as the Mercedes way of fixing it.
they can be cut to suit and work very well.
