Looking at the latest shape B series, which reviews much better than it's predecessor.
Anyone got any comments?
I'm looking for a 2litre diesel auto with the glass roof, but it seems to be a catalogue special! Plenty of 108bhp manuals....
Sublime to the gorblimey, the Ceed 4Tech isn't a bad option against the smaller engine B series, but it has a high loading sill

Not many of them about yet but seem quite good from what I've seen. Its lost the sandwich floor design from its predecessor but is still quite practical for what it is. Similar architecturally to the new A-Class and CLA. Also worth noting that their are a couple of variants of the 180 CDI, earlier cars use the OM651 1.8 common rail diesel but the later cars have the 1.5 Renault sourced diesel. Not sure I'd be comfortable with the latter!

That is an interesting comment! The 1461cc Renault diesel is, unsurprisingly also in the new Note. The current MB brochure (07/12!) I was given yesterday shows only 1796 & 2143 "BlueEFFICIENCY" Diesels!
The 1796/2143 is rated at 109/130bhp & 250/300 NM.
The 1461 has 109bhp & 164 lb/ft(?!)according to the tech info on a 2013 used B180CDI from a main dealer!

MB refer to the Renault engine as the OM607 (modified by MB apparently)
I have emailed MB about this & they say the 1,7 & 2.2 are the only ones fitted!
So what hope for an innocent customer!

Well I bought one! B180 CDI so it has the MB Engine!
Unbelievably it doesn't have cruise control! But it does have a panoramic roof!
