Islabike CNOC 14

Hi all,

Sorry - title should be CNOC 16

I am looking for a bike for my son. He will be 5 just before Christmas, but as yet has had no interest in riding a bike himself. He's happy to be dragged along using the trail gator, but his current bike is now too small.

I am thinking of getting him a cnoc 16 as these appear to be highly rated, but rather than buy brand new I wondered if anyone was looking to sell one because they might be upgrading at Christmas. I know they still fetch good money on auction sites etc, but if anyone has one to sell and doesn't want the auction hassle please let me know.

Try the ctc.org forum. I bought my daughter's Beinn 20 off there for a great price.

They're well worth the initial outlay. The CNOC 14 I sold last month went for £100.

They have a wanted section of the forum so it might be worth putting an ad on there.

Might also be worth posting a wanted ad on Singletrack World. Islabikes come up up quite often on there.

It's worth measuring him first - at 5 a CNOC 16 may be a bit smaller than he needs and you might get away with going straight to a Beinn 20 which will last him a lot longer.

Agreed; our five year old fits his Beinn 20 fine; it's also lighter, has gears and better components. Our CNOC 14 is actually quite heavy. Of the three we have, it's the worst.

Hi dterry,

I am just waiting for delivery of a Beinn 20 for my daughter and was about to start thinking of putting her Cnoc 16 up for sale. It's a purple one if that makes a difference. PM me if you are interested.
