Good games for the apple Mac?

Is there any decent games for the Apple Mac? To make this request even more difficult, I need them to be good in single player mode as I'm looking to use them as a way to kill time when I don't have access to the internet.

I'm thinking strategy/war games like Red Alert 2 type stuff where I can play against the computer in the skirmish modes. What would you suggest?

Buying an xbox or a windows pc would be better for games I know... but like being internet connected its simply not an option.
