You could count cars like the Citroen DS3, Vauxhall Adam and Renault Captur as two tone because the roofs and pillars are a different colour to the rest. You can have Rolls Royces and Bugatti Veyrons as two tone. Other than that I think the last properly two tone car where the top half was a different colour to the bottom half was the Rover 75. You could specify it like that if you wanted, I saw a silver over maroon one in Ambleside in the Lake District a few weeks ago.
Had a factory 2 tone saxo vts back in 2001/2002.

Mercedes were still doing two tone in the early 90s on the W124 and early W140s. I can't think of anything much newer than that.
Never had a two tone car myself unless you count rust.

My brother bought one of those to use as a workhorse when he was doing his house up. It was darker blue but the rust was in exactly the same place. Lovely old thing it was.
It does seem to have had a resurgance in the 80's/90's. Both my nice wagon and my daily hale (hail?) from that period. I love it, I always hated it when my mates colour coded everything on their car, as I think it gives the car more impact than just being a blob of colour. Might be retro now, but I still think it looks great.
