Googling the internet so many of the kit cars out there have terrible proportions, look like they've been forced onto a wheelbase 3ft too short or just generally have been styled by a loony. My question to you is excluding Seven style cars what good looking kits are out there now that you can currently buy?

My list so far is:

- Lancia Stratos replicas
- Cobra replicas
- K1 Attack
- Ultima GTR (this isn't a great looking car to my eye, but it is well proportioned)

What others are out there?

If you're allowing replicas, there's loads. If not, it's harder.

Forgot about the GT40 replicas, they can make the list. Replicas are allowed as long as they're built upon a new chassis and not just some fibre glass panels stuck onto an MR2!

The problem is that beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. I personally own 15 cars and I am not struck on the looks of any of them particularly the Sevenesque types which have also got the distinct downside of having the aerodynamics of a brick. I just get a huge enjoyment from driving, building and restoring kit cars. Which is just as well because they need constant fettling.

I do think the Replicar from Stuart Mills MEV factory is a very pretty modern kit car, indeed beautiful kit car is an exception and a remarkably finely priced kit car at that. It is the new kit car I intend to buy next when I finally get through the two Westfields, one Quantum Turbo three Banham kit cars and so on that I am currently IVA'ing refurbishing and fettling.

There's hundreds of companies making decent replicas of very good looking classic sports cars.

I know it's caterham-esque but a Ronart is a superior looking car to my eyes and thus deserves a mention.

I might get hunted down but am I alone on thinking that (And the original car) is really quite ugly?

It's all in the eye of the beholder, I think that looks fantastic, but the others so far listed do nothing for me.

That's a new one to me - I quite like it!
Less slabby than most (although there won't be much shoulder room).

My old Fisher Fury?

Some fury's can look great, others IMO not so great. There are various body styles, windscreen, bonnet combinations to choose.

I think this represents exactly what the OP is talking about! Awful proportions, like an over-fed dog dragging its arse...
