Petrol-related Stag Do ideas for Scotland in Jan

Dear PH'ers

I am looking to organise a Stag Do up in Scotland in Jan this year. We're wanting to do something car-themed but being Jan the weather has a potential to throw a spanner in the works. Other than the usual karting etc, what other ideas or experiences do the good people of PH have?

Few old BMWs, weld the diff sand head over to driftland? Not far from knockhill. There's karting facilities there too!

is it any good, a group of us from work go to raceland every few months for outdoor karting and its great.

tracks really good and its rather competitive now.

like the look of that but is there wheel to wheel racing

I've heard people say it's excellent but that's another thing that's on my doorstep and haven't got round to trying out yet.

I've done the RAGE buggies there and they were excellent. (Helped that I won the session despite being hungover ).

The lack of wheel-to-wheel racing is a slight negative, however if you want that type of action I think they also do some smaller Honda buggies.

while i have to say xtremekarting is very good, the facilities are great, karts good etc their tracks simply arent a patch on the outdoor at raceland.

but if your going at the start of the year you might want to race indoors.

I spoke to them today and they're replacing the Honda Pilots with Rage Buggies, so plenty of scope for wheel-to-wheel racing!
