Help - AVOs

Yesterday I had a new pair of AVO shocks fitted by Elite to the rear of my car(kept standard springs).
The rear has now dropped by about 2 inchs is this normal ? as: (A) the front will now need new shocks as it looks a little odd & (B) my car is now grounding out on the ramp into my garage which is a little steep.

just the shocks settling as they are new.

Er? New shocks won't change the ride height will they?
Sounds as if the pre load has not been wound up enough so the back end is sagging or the wrong length of shock has been fitted. 'course I may be talking b***s in which case I apologise

mine did. ask those that were at Pistonfest when I arrived with the chimaera packed up with camping stuff the day after new shocks were fitted searchlights for aircraft where the back end had dropped so much, even when unpacked

Platforms were adjusted and wound back up after the shocks fully settled - after about 800 miles or so.

Thanks guys for the replys - i went to my trusted usual independant garage (should have used them in first place) and it appears that Elite didnt set the ride height at all(cowboys). Am going back tomorrow to rip someone a new arsehole.

I had AVOs on my last Chimaera, the heights are fully adjustable, raise the back end of the car off the ground look at the shock, there is a small allen key bolt on the bottom spring cup, once this is undone you will be able to move this cup up the thread of the shock to increase ride height, make sure this is done evenly on both sides then lock up the grub screw. You will need another geometry check afterwards of course. I ran mine with standard springs and found a marked improvement although Joospeed doesn't recommend it.
Are you not doing the front shocks?
