Badging...a moan!
Discussion
Why do car manufacturers insist on displaying the amount of litres, valves and type of fuel that a particular model runs on on the rear on their cars?
For that matter, why display the manufacturer of model of the car at all?
I think Mercedes must be the ultimate culprit. Do owners really think that by having an AMG or a CD on the boot really matters?
Do any manufacturers offer de-badging as an option?

My car has no lettering/numbering/model variant badges on it at all. Just a round manufacturer badge on each end.
So it's badged then

As a kid growing up, the badges on the boots of cars were an important thing to me as a mini petrol-head. These days if anything, badges give less info, not more. Seeing a Granada 2.8i Ghia X used to make my day and the Series 2 XJ12/Daimler Double Six with its discreet V12 badges did the same. Stop moaning OP, think of the children!
