OK, so I’ve got the low rev/light throttle stutter, I’ve had my throttle bodies checked by TVRSW and according to them they are perfect, so I’m going to start by replacing the throttle pots and work from there. However, have any of you guys seen these (http://www.actproducts.co.uk/shop/sp001-ajp-tp-bearing-kit-p-439.html?zenid=20f748974b188d542045469a5564c821) throttle pot bearing assemblies? I was thinking of changing the pots and adding these as the cost seem relatively reasonable in the whole scheme of things, or do you perceive they are a waste of time and money?

Clever idea looks like it will work. If you need this though you probably have play in the throttle body but it will help. I am trying a different bearing insert in all bodies, will report.

Fingers crossed my throttle bodies are ok, as they have just been checked. It was just a belt and braces approach while I had it all stripped. I’m working on the principle it will ensure a smoother action on the pots with less movement, other than what is required. However it’s also a case, am I wasting money!

Jason at Str8Six overhauled the throttle bodies on my early Tuscan and fitted roller bearings into the bodies.

It ran fantastic after and held its tuning.

I have just this minute come in from the garage, where I have removed and stripped the throttle bodies.
The bearings arrived this morning and just need to get the bodies machined now to accept them.

Any more pics of the bearings in situ??

Had a look with the linkage levers bolted up you can't really see the bearings. The bearing is completely masked. If I'm interpreting this right

At this point drill the bodies and fit vacuum ports so you can fit a gauge without taking the airbox off and do more than one at a time... Well that was my plan and bought the bits to do it, but as I've not taken my bodies off I can be bothered :-)
