during the winter
Discussion
Hi,
I have just put my car (T350C) in the garage and I wonder how to keep it mice-free and at the same time be able to work on it. I was thinking of removing the wheels and wonder how to place the stands under it (one in each corner so you know what I am talking about)?
Where can I place the jack without damaging the car? Is it ok to have it standing on stands all winter?
Have a nice day!

According to the bible, axle stands at the front and rear outrigger tubes as close to central frame as you can get them.
Jacking points are the body tub bolts on the outer corners of the outrggers.
Or something like this: http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Staddle_stones
Not sure how long you should leave it on axle stands

Remember and put somethiong between the axle stand and the chassis to avoid the chassis getting marked and damaged, the same goes for the car jack.
If you remove the wheels the car can sit on the car jacks throughout the winter without any issues. It's a good chance to have a nose underneath and see if anything needs doing.

Hi if you have a look at the link below to the Varley Bible, it will show you where to place your jack and axle stands http://www.varleyhyd.com/I have just put my car (T350C) in the garage and I wonder how to keep it mice-free and at the same time be able to work on it. That's how I do it as well (ie per the Bible). No issues experienced over the 3 years I've done this with the wheels off. You'd be surprised how far mice can jump though. I've not experienced any rodent issues despite being in the Styx but then I do have a cat, I do have a tamper-proof bait station outside and I do cover the car. There have been mice in the garage but they've tended to prefer my decorating covers. Jacking points are the body tub bolts on the outer corners of the outrggers.
