Am I asking too much?

Wipers. Advertised as specifically for a 2012 on F13 BMW 6 series. When they arrive they actually need one of 5 diffeent adpters to fit.

One wiper doesnt even have the right adapter present, and the other when fitted raises the arm some 1cm higher than normal, meaning it is more in view, not hidden by bonnet and thus noisier at speed... Not to mention looking like a dogs dinner.

Guess which is the OEM, and which (Michelin mind) bought off ebay?

Now I have to pay to return the bloody things. Oh and by the way - hardly cheapo - £27 the pair.

Sorry for pic quality - blackberry....

I use Valeo Silencio on my BMW - they seem to be the only ones with the correct fitting (the same as OEM BMW blades). Cost £22 for a complete set.

Thanks.

The new 6 has a sort of slide on pin connector - actually very neat; rotate the wiper 90 degress and it slides straight off.

God! I hate it when that happens! And it happens often! So often that I don't even get into an Ebay argument anymore. I just ask myself the same question as you and then throw the parts in the bin more often than not. frown

I end up asking myself if it is worth my time and effort to drive to the post office, queue up with the old and out of work, pay 5 quid plus to post it, and drive home.

Ironically BMW didnt even have a pair in stock to rip me off!!

yes Threw two incorrectly supplied ten quid items in the bin today funnily enough. I went to put them on a shelf in the garage, then realised that's where they would end up staying until I binned them a year later, so decided to bite the bullet. Returning things to shops or by mail is a pink job, not a blue job! hehe Sorry to hear about the wipers though Ed!
