What's this 'ere wire

While rooting around the footwell of my Chim' I spied this red wire that may, or may not, need to be connected

Any ideas where they go to ,come from?
I know there is a lot of surplus wiring on the average TVR; so I wouldn't be surprised if nothing was connected at either end

Passenger side air bag or maybe something to do with the Anti-lock brakes...

Sorry, no idea but does it look like it's ever been connected (clean scratched contacts) or always been 'spare'? It's not a conventional spade connector so it should be easy to see if there's anything which may have been dislodged by a panicking passenger braking against the battery

Is that a factory fitted black jaws type plastic mouse trap on the left of the battery ? i also don't have any of the silver gaffa tape or pop rivets on the inside of the wing,all in all i quess you got one of TVR's specials.... pretty miffed really,makes mine look a very bog standard model !

Are we talking about the red wire with the black plastic connector on the end ? Cos theres another one (facing downwards) with what looks like the other end of the connector,like an in line fuse type thingy

Yes. The connectors two red wires do fit together, but it's not a fuseholder

Could be a hard wiring for a trickle charger.

That's where I had mine fitted.

You should have the pop rivets; they hold the heater blower panel in place...
Apologies for the gaffa tape, it's a temporary fix until I can get hold of some Sikaflex to
dob all over the place and put it back to factory spec'
I believe the mousetrap was an option, your car must be poverty spec
